Klint Owens began designing and selling equine tack products in 1992 based on his own extremely high personal standards. As a cutting horse competitor himself, he had his hand on the pulse of the competitive equine show industry’s equipment needs. The KO Trading Company was started in 1994 as the demand for his designs grew and he continued to add more products. KO Trading has emerged as one of the leading equine tack suppliers.
KO Trading features an online store as well as our 47,000sq/ft retail facility and headquarters near downtown Fort Worth on Highway 121 North; both with rapidly growing product lines. In addition to the store and online shopping cart, KO Trading maintains a rigorous trade show schedule. Shows where KO Trading brings products to the industry include the Dixie National Equine Expo, National Cutting Horse Association’s Super Stakes, Eastern and Western National Championships, Summer Spectacular and Futurity. The American Quarter Horse Association and Youth Association World Shows, Music City Futurity and World Championship Paint Horse Show.
In addition to the equine tack line of products, KO Trading is your source for awards as well. KO Trading designed and produced the 2006 Texas Motor Speedway’s Samsung/Radio Shack 500 NASCAR trophy spurs and spur straps. KO Trading has also provided the National Cutting Horse Association, Texas Christian University, Florida Reining Horse Association, Western and English Sales Association, Ohio Quarter Horse Association and Pacific Northwest Paint Horse Club with various recognition awards, to name a few.
